Don’t Mess with the DSC

Thanks to VegasJeff (@vegasjeff), we are trying to pull together a video in support of stopping people from creating fake celebrity identities (in this case a Twitter account for Milo).  Jeff’s idea was to have everyone who wants to participate create a short video saying “Hi, I’m Milo Ventimiglia” (similar to the video Milo put up regarding his MySpace account - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmw56aBXawI&feature=channel_page ).  That’s it.  It is then our hope that Milo can add his own video clip at the end saying something to the effect “Identity theft is wrong.  My one and only legitimate Twitter account is…” etc.

The lovely and talented Miss Sarah (@lavidacobra) has agreed to receive all of the videos and put them into one comprehensive video.  There have been a few questions asked by everyone and the purpose of this blog is to have all the answers in one place.  if you think I’ve left something off, just let me know and I can edit it.  Thanks.

1.  What should I say in the video? - In case you missed it above, it should be short and sweet for the most part.  “Hi, my name is Milo Ventimiglia” will suffice.  Your own flare within those parameters is up to you :)

2.  What is the deadline to send in my video? - This Saturday, May 2nd at midnight, PST (Pacific Standard Time).

3.  Where do I send my video? - Sarah posted this response on Twitter last night: “upload your clip to any hosting sites, like sendspace, mediafire, etc. then send me the link.” - I assume Sarah means to send her the link via Twitter @lavidacobra (maybe in a DM if you want it to be private until the final video is completed).  Any other questions on this part I would send directly to Sarah.

4.  What format should my video be in? - See #3.  Whatever format those sites support should work.

5.  I think that’s it.  Let me know if I left something off.

Happy videoing!
